Modern Fireplace Upgrade with White Oak Mantle in Manson, WA

A modern fireplace upgrade for a Manson, Washington home just up the road from Lake Chelan. Garcia Home Renovations framed and tiled the new surround in large-format dark tile, built a custom white oak mantle, and painted a vaulted sage green accent panel that frames the wall and ties the room together. A recessed linear electric fireplace was installed flush into the tile face, and the wall above the mantle was prepped clean for a mounted TV. The finished feature reads modern and warm at the same time, clean lines, natural wood, and a soft color that fits the lake-home feel.
Tile Surround & Linear Fireplace
We framed the surround tight to the firebox and wrapped it in large-format dark tile from the floor up to the underside of the mantle. The linear electric fireplace sits recessed and flush in the tile face for a clean, modern look, no bump-out, no visible hardware. Grout lines were kept tight and consistent so the wall reads as one solid feature.
Custom White Oak Mantle
The mantle is a custom-built solid white oak beam, sanded smooth and sealed to bring out the natural grain. It sits proud of the tile and runs the full width of the surround, giving the fireplace a warm, natural anchor against the dark tile and sage paint.
Sage Accent Panel & TV-Ready Wall
We painted a sage green accent panel cut to the vaulted ceiling line so the color frames the fireplace and tracks with the roof pitch. The wall above the mantle was patched, sanded, and finish painted clean, ready for a mounted TV with concealed cord paths down to the media cabinet.
