A full backyard pickleball court built for a Chelan, Washington homeowner with views of Lake Chelan. Garcia Home Renovations handled the concrete prep, surface coating, color blocking, and line striping, turning unused backyard space into a regulation-style court the family can play on year after year. Designed for clean play, true bounce, and a finish that holds up to North Central Washington sun and weather.
Concrete Prep & Surface Coating
Before any color went down we prepped the slab, repaired surface cracks, and applied an acrylic resurfacer to give the court a flat, true playing surface. Multiple coats of cushioned acrylic court paint were rolled and squeegeed by hand to keep the texture consistent across the whole court.
Color Blocking & Line Striping
The court uses a classic two-tone layout, light court blue main playing area, navy kitchen / non-volley zone, and a sport green surround for safe footing outside the lines. White lines were taped, masked, and rolled to pickleball-court spec so the surface plays true on every shot.
Backyard Tie-In
We squared the court to the property, kept clean edges around the surround, and set anchor pads for a portable net so the family can roll it on and off. The finished court fits the lot, holds up to lake-country sun, and reads as part of the home, not a dropped-in slab.
