Finish Carpentry
Custom Cabinetry & Built-Ins in Chelan and Wenatchee, WA
Built-ins are what make a house feel finished instead of furnished. A wall of shelving, a wet bar tucked into a dead corner, a bunk room that sleeps six kids in the footprint of a spare bedroom, all of it built for that exact space instead of ordered from a catalog.
What We Build
Wet bars and beverage stations with counters, open shelving, and cabinet storage. Floor-to-ceiling bookcases and media walls. Window seats with drawers underneath. Mudroom lockers with hooks, benches, and cubbies. Fireplace surrounds and mantels. Built-in bunk beds with integrated lighting, ladders, and guardrails. Pantry systems, laundry cabinetry, garage storage, and closet buildouts. If it needs to fit an odd wall, wrap a chase, or work around a sloped ceiling, that is exactly the kind of thing site-built carpentry solves and stock cabinets cannot.
Materials, Finishes, and Fit
Depending on the look you want, we build with paint-grade poplar and MDF for crisp painted work, or stain-grade hardwood and veneer plywood when you want grain to show. Doors can be shaker, slab, or beaded. Everything gets scribed to the wall, leveled, and shimmed so there is no daylight gap along a wavy plaster wall, and joints are filled, sanded, primed, and finished on site. Soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer slides are standard because nobody misses the alternative.
Working With Your Cabinets or Ours
Some projects call for a full custom build. Others make more sense as ordered boxes with custom fillers, panels, and trim so the run looks built-in without a full custom price. We are happy to install cabinetry you have already purchased, modify existing casework, add crown and light rail to a dated kitchen, or refinish solid boxes rather than replacing them. We will lay out what each approach costs and what it gets you before anything is ordered.

Questions We Get About Custom Cabinetry & Built-Ins
Are custom built-ins more expensive than store-bought cabinets?+
Per linear foot, usually yes. But they use the entire space, fit walls that are out of square, and add real value where stock boxes leave awkward gaps and filler strips.
Can you match built-ins to my existing trim and cabinets?+
Yes. We match profiles, stain, or paint color so new work reads as original rather than as an addition.
How long does a built-in project take?+
Most single built-ins take one to two weeks including build, install, and finish. Larger multi-room packages take longer.
Do you install cabinets I bought elsewhere?+
We do. We will also build the fillers, panels, and trim needed to make an ordered set look properly built in.
